MX1508 Mini Motor Driver – Dual H-Bridge DC Motor Driver Module

The MX1508 Mini Motor Driver is a compact dual H-bridge motor driver module designed to control two DC motors or a single 4-wire bipolar stepper motor independently. Based on the MX1508 IC with integrated N-channel and P-channel power MOSFETs, it supports forward and reverse rotation with PWM-based speed control, making it a popular, low-cost driver for small robotics and battery-powered projects.

Important Notes

  • Do not exceed the rated continuous current of 1.5A per channel for extended periods to avoid triggering thermal shutdown.
  • Peak current rating is for brief bursts only; continuous operation should stay within the standard current rating.
  • Ensure correct wiring of IN1-IN4 control pins for proper direction and speed control.
  • Use a power supply within the 2V-10V motor voltage range matching your motor’s rated voltage.
  • Avoid leaving input pins floating for extended periods; connect them to a defined logic level where possible.
  • Use 100nF ceramic capacitors across motor terminals to reduce electrical noise.
  • Not recommended for driving bipolar stepper motors due to the lack of built-in current limiting.
